Veterinary medicine students are welcome! Student membership in AKVMA is open to students currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary medicine program. Membership is FREE and it's a great way to participate in AKVMA activities and connect yourself to veterinary medicine professionals and pertinent professional issues. AKVMA advocates for legislation that supports veterinarians and membership helps keep you engaged in issues affecting you. Second year veterinary medicine students at University of Alaska - Fairbanks are invited to attend AKVMA's annual symposium each fall at no charge. Upon graduation your membership dues are waived for the first year of active membership.
