Relief Veterinarian needed in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Animal Care and Regulation’s Veterinary Department. Supplemental surgical services needed, primarily for spays and neuters.  Occasional other elective or non-elective surgeries or dental services may be requested. Other duties could include physical exams, providing medical care for the shelter population, and ensuring accurate interpretation or execution of shelter preventative medical policies, outbreak procedures and established shelter medical guidelines. The shelter’s veterinary clinic is seeking approximately 1 day/week of regularly prescheduled relief services. Day length is typically 8 hours.
